How to Create Product Catalogues Using Standard Joomla Blog View

There are many product galleries extensions created for Joomla but it is always nice to see just how flexible Joomla! is if you know how to use it. Take a look at this product gallery, it was created using Joomla's standard blog view (Joomla 1.5)

First set 4 columns for the blog view. Then, create a thumbnail image together with a short description. All this goes before the 'readmore' tag and will be displayed in the blog view. After the 'readmore tag' you should insert a full sized image and all the info you'd want to have for the item.
Then, change the "Show Intro Text" option to "No" in Global Configuration which is on the Article Manager page.

You would also need to adjust your template to get the desired display, of course, but nonetheless, it is quite cool that you can bake those product galleries so easily using standard Joomla! only.
